When are the race weekends at Darlington Raceway?
Darlington Raceway, about 10 miles northwest of Florence, hosts two NASCAR weekends a year. The Cook Out Southern 500 runs on Labor Day weekend. For 2027, the spring weekend is April 2 to 4, and the Southern 500 is Sunday, September 5. Confirm dates with the track before booking.
Labor Day weekend is the big one. Campers roll in midweek, and every lot near the track fills up.
The spring weekend is smaller but still busy. Both weekends call for early booking.
Can I rent a porta potty for a lot near the track?
Jeremy Rental Works delivers porta potties to private land, yards and lots near Darlington Raceway with the owner's permission. Track-run campgrounds set their own rules about outside equipment, so check with the campground first. Private lot owners who sell parking often rent a row of units for the weekend.
Give us the address or a map pin, plus the lot owner's name and number. Race traffic makes clear directions important.
See our Darlington County page for the towns we cover around the track.
How far ahead should I book for the Southern 500?
Book porta potties for the Southern 500 several weeks ahead. Labor Day weekend is one of the busiest weekends of the year around Darlington, and units and truck slots run out. There is no Sunday delivery, so a race-day call is too late for that weekend.
Booking early also lets you pick the unit mix you want. Flushing units and hand wash stations go first.
Event rentals are paid in full when booked. Plans change, so read the cancellation rules in our rental terms.

When will my units arrive and leave?
Weekend event units arrive on Friday, or Thursday on request, and pickup is set when you book. The extra days cost nothing, since one flat price covers up to 7 days. Campers who arrive midweek should ask for Thursday delivery so the units are there first.
Deliveries run from 7 AM to 7 PM. The driver calls about 30 minutes ahead.
Mark the spot with a cone or flag. Nobody needs to be on site if the path is clear.
How many porta potties does a race camping group need?
A race camping group of 40 people with drinks over a full weekend needs 3 standard porta potties under our method: 1 for the base count, 1 for the long hours, and 1 for alcohol. Add a hand wash station for every 3 toilets when you cook. Groups of 100 need 4 units.
A group of 100 works out as base 2, plus 1 for the long weekend, plus 1 for alcohol. A standard unit is typically good for about 200 uses between services.
For a three-day crowd, add a service visit on Saturday. That resets every unit before race day.
| Campers | Base | Long weekend | Alcohol | Total units | Hand wash stations |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 25 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 3 | 1 |
| 40 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 3 | 1 |
| 100 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 4 | 2 |
| 200 | 4 | 2 | 2 | 8 | 3 |

Do I need a wheelchair-accessible unit on a race lot?
A race lot open to the public should have at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit, and at least 5 percent of the units in each cluster. That works out to 1 in every 20. The accessible unit counts toward your total, so it doesn't add to the count.
The 5 percent figure comes from section 213 of the 2010 ADA Standards. A private family camp should still add one if anyone in the group uses a wheelchair or walker.
Our wheelchair-accessible units have a ground-level entry, grab bars and about a 60-inch turning space.
Where should units go on a camping lot?
Set race lot porta potties on level, firm ground, out of the lanes RVs and trucks use to come and go. Keep them at least 10 feet from low wires and a short walk from campsites, not right next to grills or tents. The service truck needs a clear path in.
A spot near a light pole or a lit camper helps at night. Race nights run late.
A lock hasp is available on request if you want to keep the units for your group only. Bring your own padlock and leave the code for the service driver.

Darlington race weekend questions
Is there a trip fee to deliver near Darlington Raceway?
Darlington is outside Florence County, so a trip fee is quoted by mileage on top of the unit price. A standard unit starts at $175 for up to 7 days. You get the full itemized total on the call.
Can you pump my RV holding tank during race weekend?
We pump RV and camper holding tanks in the Florence area, quoted per visit. Book the visit when you book your units, since race weekend routes fill up early.
Can I get a porta potty delivered on race day Sunday?
There is no Sunday delivery or pickup. Units for a Sunday race arrive Friday, or Thursday on request, and stay through the weekend at the same flat price.
How much is a mid-weekend service visit for race campers?
An extra service visit is $65 per visit. It pumps the tank, washes the unit, adds deodorizer and restocks paper and sanitizer, so the units are fresh for race day.
Do you rent hand wash stations for tailgate cooking?
Our hand wash stations have 2 sinks with foot pumps and about 30 gallons of fresh water, good for about 500 washes per fill. Plan 1 station for every 3 toilets when food is served.
