Standard Porta Potty Rental in Florence, SC

A standard porta potty rental in Florence, SC is the basic porta john you see on jobsites and at backyard parties: a seat, a urinal, sanitizer and a vented tank.

Live answer Mon–Sat 7 AM–7 PM. Phone quotes take about 5 minutes.

What is inside a standard porta potty?

A standard porta potty has a toilet seat over a waste tank, a urinal, a 2-roll toilet paper holder and a hand sanitizer dispenser. A vent stack pulls odor up and out. The translucent roof lets in daylight, and the door latch shows "occupied" from outside. There is no sink.

For hand washing, add a separate 2-sink hand wash station, or step up to a unit with a sink built in. Toilet paper and sanitizer come full on delivery.

Want to see the inside before you book? Ask on the call and we will text you photos of the units we stock.

How big is a standard porta potty?

A typical standard porta potty is about 44 inches wide, 48 inches deep and 90 inches tall. It weighs about 175 pounds empty and holds about 60 gallons of waste. That small footprint fits a driveway corner, a side yard or a spot beside a jobsite trailer.

Colors vary. Most of our units are blue, but gray and pink units go out too. If color matters for photos, ask and we will check what is in the yard that week.

Will a standard unit fit through my gate?

A standard unit needs a gate with about 48 inches of clear width, since the unit itself is about 44 inches wide. Our crew rolls it on a dolly up to about 50 feet from the truck. Pick level, firm ground: grass, gravel, concrete or asphalt all work.

  • Measure the gate at its narrowest point, latch and post included.
  • Keep the spot 10 feet from low wires and off septic lids and well heads.
  • A slight slope is fine. A steep bank or soft mud is not.
  • Mark the spot with a cone, flag or ribbon so no one needs to be home.

Our guide to getting your yard ready for delivery walks through the path the crew needs.

How many people can one standard porta potty handle?

A typical standard porta potty handles about 200 uses between services. For a party up to 4 hours, plan 1 unit per 50 guests. On a jobsite with weekly service, plan 1 unit per 10 workers on a 40-hour week. Longer events and alcohol call for more units.

The porta potty calculator runs the same steps for your headcount. Public events also need at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit.

Will I get a clean unit or a beat-up construction one?

Event units and construction units are kept apart in our Florence yard. A backyard party or church event gets a unit from the event group, washed and stocked before it leaves. Jobsite units stay on construction routes, where scuffs and dust do not matter as much as sturdiness.

Tell us on the call if guests will see the unit up close. We note it on the order so the driver loads an event unit.

Crews that move a lot can rent a standard unit on a small towable trailer. See jobsite toilet rentals for that setup.

Does a standard porta potty smell?

A standard porta potty smells least when it sits in shade, gets serviced weekly and is not overloaded. Each unit gets deodorizer in the tank on delivery and at every service. The vent stack draws odor up through the roof. Florence summer heat from June to August is the main cause of odor.

Face the door away from afternoon sun if you can. At busy summer jobsites, add a second weekly service. Our post on porta potties in South Carolina heat has more tips.

Public spot? Ask for a lock hasp. You bring the padlock and leave the code or key for our service driver.

Standard porta potty questions

How much is a standard porta potty for a weekend in Florence?

A standard porta potty for an event starts at $175 for up to 7 days, with delivery and pickup included. A weekend unit drops Friday and leaves Monday for that same price. Tax is extra.

What does a standard porta potty cost by the month?

A standard unit on a long-term plan starts at $165 per 28-day cycle, plus a one-time $60 delivery charge. One service visit per week is included. Billing stops when you call for pickup.

Does the standard unit have a sink or just hand sanitizer?

The standard unit has a hand sanitizer dispenser and no sink. A separate 2-sink hand wash station starts at $125 for an event, or pick a deluxe unit with a foot-pump sink inside.

Can I get a standard porta potty in a color other than blue?

Colors vary by what is in the yard. Blue is most common, and gray and pink units also go out. Ask on the call and we will tell you what is open for your date.

Is a padlock included with the lock hasp?

The hasp is free on request, but you supply the padlock. Leave the key or code with us so the service driver can get in for the weekly clean.

Can I move the standard unit myself after delivery?

Please do not. A unit with waste in the tank can tip and spill. Call or text and we will move it on the next route day. Damage from tipping caused by misuse is billed to the renter.

Can I pick up a standard unit with my own truck?

Our crew delivers and sets every unit level for safety and liability, so we do not offer self-pickup. Delivery and pickup are already in the price.
